Biological Meets Mechanical in Mini SD Godzilla vs. Evangelion
Japanese model company PLEX has released a new addition to their Mini Sofvi Chronicle series: the Godzilla vs. Evangelion Mini Sofvi Chronicle. This collection brings together the iconic monsters and mecha from the legendary collaboration between Godzilla and Evangelion, first launched in 2016.
The original collaboration coincided with Hideaki Anno’s Shin Godzilla and introduced fans to imaginative crossover designs. Notable highlights included the pachinko machine P Godzilla vs. Evangelion: G Cell Awakening, which featured a new story merging the two worlds. Among the most striking designs was the EVA Unit-01 mutated after being hit by Godzilla’s radioactive heat beam, invaded by G cells—a concept that PLEX later transformed into a collectible model.
The Mini Sofvi Chronicle version includes six characters from the Godzilla vs. Evangelion series, each crafted in a compact 4 cm SD-style vinyl figure. These figures showcase precise sculpting and vivid paintwork that capture the characters’ charm in miniature form. Each character is available in a standard color and a transparent glitter variant, totaling 12 figures in the box for collectors to enjoy.
