This summer I stopped by Louisa Coffee Checheng Store in Nantou, Taiwan. The café sits inside the old Checheng Elementary School, now a two-story coffee space that feels spacious and filled with creative energy.
The first thing that caught my attention was the massive mural outside. Created by graffiti artist Mar2ina together with Louisa Coffee and Linban Dao Railway Elementary School, the piece stretches across three stories. Its bold colors and lively details immediately stand out, making the building hard to miss. Even while it was still being painted, travelers were already taking photos, and today it has become one of the most eye-catching spots in central Taiwan.
Inside the Bearbrick Classroom
Upstairs, the atmosphere shifts into something playful and unexpected—a classroom filled with Bearbrick figures seated at wooden desks. Each Bearbrick has a different style, decorated with colorful designs and even holding coffee cups. The setup feels like a mix of art installation and memory of school days, making the visit both fun and memorable.
A Comfortable Stop in Checheng
Louisa Coffee Checheng Store offers more than just coffee. The wide windows, open layout, and mix of history with modern art make it a refreshing stop during a trip through Checheng. Whether you come to relax with a drink, take photos, or simply pause your journey, it’s a place that leaves a strong impression.
Address: No.127, Minquan Ln., Shuili Township, Nantou County
Only issue is that the shape is a little more malformed/lopsided than pictures shown making it not as apple-shaped and there was some scratches on the paint. Figure still looks good, but for the price I'd prefer a better quality delivered. I didn't have the same issue with the burger fairies line so this might just be a problem with the apple. Unrelated to the product itself but I also find the boxing to be way too big and a waste. I assume they just order them all that size for manufacturing purposes though (just wish my apple fairy didn't have scratches anyways you know?). But that's a small gripe.
Thank you for your purchase and for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your figure arrived with paint scratches. We’ll also share your comments on the product and packaging with the manufacturer, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
